Boxing Day - Three Club Challenge

Who needs 14 clubs, when only 3 will do!!

The winning score of 24 points by Martin Brett in this Boxing Day 10 hole event, would normally be enough to win the 10 hole stablefords when all 14 clubs are allowed. What's more, he was in the last group out, and so had to contend with rain for the last 3 holes.
Coming in 2nd, and winning the Nearset the Pin prize on the 14th hole was Gary Holmes with 22 points. In 3rd place and winning the Nearest the Pin prize on the 3rd was Simon Smith with 21 points.
The winner of the ladies prize was Ann Smith with 18 points.

17th December - Medalford

A very impressive round by Richard Couse saw him win this competition, with his score of 11 being 5 better than next best.
Despite holding a two shot lead over the field after the medal part of the competition "Choker Morrison" drifted away on the last 9 holes to come 3rd on 16. Beating him on countback to 2nd place was Chris Miles. 

10th December - Stableford

Despite not scoring on the 17th or 18th, Barry Hunter's score of 35 points was still enough to win by 1 from Malc Williams. Chris Tansley was 3rd on 33 points.

6th December - Monthly Medal

Roy Clayton showed the rest of the field a clean pair of heels in the December Medal held on Sunday. In breezy, but pleasant conditions he shot a nett 66 (despite a double bogey on the last) to win by 4 from Keith Wright. Mike Black came in 3rd with a nett 72

Friday 5th December - Veteran's Stableford

Despite the cold, good scores were still posted in the first counting stableford towards the Ogle Trophy.
