15th July - MIDWEEK STABLEFORD

Well, I have to say that I thought the handicap software had developed a glitch, the scores were that good!!

Round of the day went to Ollie McArthur who scored an amazing 47 points even with a blob on the 14th! His cousin, Tom Dye was not too shabby either with 46 points, (with a blob on the 15th). This saw them sharing 1st and 2nd spot in Division 2, with Josh Macgregor 3rd on 40 points.

Watch out boys, the Secretary has sharpened that handicap axe!!

There was still good golf played in Division 1, but at least the scores were nearer the average. Miles Oldershaw won with 42 points, with Chris West second on 39 and George Faulkner 3rd on 38 points.

8th July - STABLEFORD

In tough conditions, Hugh Morrison finally managed to throw off his dismal run of form to post a battling 36 points in the 1st Division. This was good enough to take 1st place on countback from Simon Smith, with Ian Ball third on 34 points.

Division 2 saw new boy Chris Griffiths continue to show that his handicap is too high as he scored 40 points to take 1st place. Second was Richard Jones on 37 points, with John Wisker taking 3rd on countback from Dennis Smith, both scoring 35 points
