Paula Burke and her guest Helen Whitaker from Westridge won the Freshwater Bay Golf Club Ladies Invitation with a very impressive score of 48 points, winning by 4 from Sue Oldershaw and Christine Smith from Shanklin & Sandown. Meanwhile over in the New Forest Paula’s daughter Lucy was picking up 1st prize in the girls section of the Brokenhurst Junior Open. Also doing well at Brokenhurst was George Faulkner who picked up the prize for the best Under 13 score.
